Bridges (Local Connector)

Menu path: Multi-Branch → Local Bridges  •  URL: /admin/bridges Access: ADMIN, MANAGER • Requires: Included in the free core

Purpose

The Bridges screen manages the local connector devices (HummyBox) in your branches. A bridge sits between the cloud and the branch’s printer, fiscal device and local network: it keeps the branch running locally when the connection drops, and handles offline sync once the internet comes back. From this screen you provision a new bridge, monitor the live connection status of installed bridges, and retire a bridge when needed.

Local bridge management is included in the free core — single-location businesses provision bridges here too. The only paid part is the second branch onwards (Extra Branch, ₺3,990/year each). Authorization is always checked on the server.

Provisioning a new bridge

Setting up a bridge happens on both ends: first you register the bridge from the panel, then the hardware (HummyBox) pairs itself on first boot using the token you were given.

Step 1 — Create the bridge record

In the New Bridge section:

  • Branch — pick the branch the bridge will connect to (required; the button stays disabled until one is selected).
  • Product (SKU) — choose the hardware type: HummyBox Lite, HummyBox Pro, or BYO (bring your own) if you’re using your own device.
  • Hostname — optional; the network name you want to assign to the device.

The Create button creates the bridge record.

Step 2 — Capture the pairing token

Once creation succeeds, a yellow alert box opens at the top showing the single-use pairing token. Copy the token and enter it on HummyBox’s first-boot screen; the device pairs itself using this token.

After you’ve copied the token, dismiss the box with “Copied”.

⚠️

The pairing token is shown only once. After you dismiss the box or refresh the page, the token will not reappear — not even when you return to the list row. If you lose the token, you’ll have to retire the bridge and provision it again.

Bridge list and connection status

The table below lists every bridge across your branches. Each row shows the branch, product (SKU), hostname, status and the last seen time.

The status badge shows the bridge’s connection to the cloud:

  • Online — the bridge is active and its signal is coming in regularly (green).
  • Claiming — the bridge is set up and pairing/first connection is in progress (purple).
  • Offline — the signal has stopped; the device is off or has no internet (gray).
  • Retired — the bridge has been decommissioned (faded gray).

The last seen column shows when the most recent signal (heartbeat) arrived from the bridge; if it hasn’t updated for a long time, check the device’s power and network connection.

Status and last-seen are based on the heartbeat the bridge sends regularly. A newly provisioned bridge stays in claiming for a short while; once the device finishes pairing, it switches to online.

Retiring a bridge

To take a bridge out of service, tap the Retire link on its row; the system asks for confirmation. Once you confirm, the bridge moves to the retired state and no longer pairs with the cloud.

⚠️

Retiring ends the bridge’s pairing. If you want to use the same device again, you’ll need to create a new bridge record and pair the hardware from scratch with a new token.
