First-Time Setup
After creating your account, your first login greets you with a welcome flow and the dashboard. This page explains the order to follow to get your restaurant operational.
First launch: welcome and guided tour
On your first login, a welcome modal opens on the dashboard (/dashboard). You have two options here:
- Start the guided tour — an interactive tour that walks you through the main screens (POS, menu, tables, etc.) step by step.
- Explore a sample restaurant (demo) first — try the system in a pre-seeded demo restaurant without touching your own data. You can return to your own account at any time.
You can skip the tour; it won’t be shown again. You can restart it later whenever you like. The demo is a shared restaurant filled with real data — explore it freely.
Complete your profile (if you used social sign-in)
If you signed in with Google and your account has no phone number, the system first routes you to the “Complete your account” screen. There you provide:
- Phone (required — needed for the payment step)
- Business name, first/last name, tax ID / tax office, address, city
- Time zone and language preference
If you registered normally with email + password, this step is skipped, since the phone was already collected at registration.
Setup checklist
Your dashboard shows a setup checklist banner until your restaurant is fully ready. Each item checks a real condition and links you to the page that resolves it; once every item is complete, the banner disappears on its own. The items:
| Item | What it asks for | Where it goes |
|---|---|---|
| Branch | At least one branch exists | Branches |
| KDS screen | A kitchen display (KDS) device is paired | Devices |
| Waiter tablet | A waiter tablet device is paired | Devices |
| Bridge | If you use a printer/fiscal device, a bridge is online | Bridges |
| Fiscal integration | A fiscal integration is connected | Marketplace |
The checklist is context-aware: if you haven’t registered a printer/fiscal device, the “Bridge” item is skipped, so you only see the steps that are meaningful for you. The Fiscal integration item needs an integration item (e-Invoice or Fiscal Printer — annual, with the licence as a prerequisite).
Recommended setup order
Before pairing devices, we recommend entering the core data that makes your restaurant operational in this order:
1. Branch settings
Registration already created a “Main” branch for you, and the first branch is free. Review your branch’s name, address, and time zone. If you’ll run multiple locations, buy the Extra Branch item (annual, with the licence as a prerequisite) per branch and add them now.
2. Menu
From Menu Management in the Admin panel:
- First create your categories (e.g. “Hot Drinks”, “Desserts”).
- Then add products to each category (name, price, photo, description).
- If needed, define modifiers (options) — e.g. “size: small/medium/large” or “extra cheese”.
The menu is the foundation for taking orders in POS and for the QR menu, which is why it comes before tables.
3. Tables
From Table Management, add your tables (name/number and capacity). If you operate takeaway-only, you can skip this and enable takeaway mode in settings instead.
4. (Optional) QR codes and devices
- Generate and print table QR codes from QR Management.
- Pair your kitchen display (KDS) and waiter tablets from Devices.
- If you use a printer/fiscal device, set up a Bridge.
The recommended logic: branch first → then menu (categories, then products) → then tables. Following this order lets you start taking orders in POS immediately, publish the QR menu, and connect the kitchen display.
