Purpose

System Health puts every active branch of your business side by side on a single dashboard. For each branch it combines whether its devices are online, how long ago the last receipt was issued and how long ago the last order came in, then distills that into a single health score from 0 to 100. When a printer or terminal drops at one branch, or the sales flow stalls, you spot it from here — without walking up to the till.

The System Health dashboard is included in the free core — it needs no module and appears under Multi-Branch for ADMIN and MANAGER. It is most useful when you run multiple branches, but it stays accessible to single-branch businesses too. Authorization is always verified on the server.

How to read the dashboard

You get one card per active branch. If there are no active branches, the message “No active branches.” is shown.

Color badge

The badge in the top-right corner of the card sums up the branch’s overall state in three colors:

  • Green — healthy, no action needed.
  • Amber — attention; one of the signals has weakened (e.g. a device dropped or there have been no orders for a while).
  • Red — critical; the branch needs to be checked urgently.

Health score

The large number under the badge is the branch’s composite score out of 100. It is computed from the three sub-signals below, letting you compare branches at a glance.

The three sub-signals

The bottom row of the card lists the three metrics that make up the score, broken out individually:

  • Devices Online — what percentage of the branch’s connected devices are online (e.g. 80%). A drop here points to a printer/terminal or the local bridge connection going down.
  • Last Receipt — how long since the most recent fiscal receipt.
  • Last Order — how long since the most recent order.

Durations are shown in short form: <1m (less than a minute), 12m (minutes), 3h (hours), 2d (days). When there is no data at all, appears — for example at a branch that hasn’t had a single order or receipt yet that day.

Liveness and refresh

The dashboard data refreshes automatically every 30 seconds; just leave the page open — no manual refresh needed. That way a device dropping or a sales flow stalling at a branch shows up on its card within a short time.

⚠️

An unexpectedly long “Last Order” or “Last Receipt” duration can mean a quiet hour just as easily as a real fault. Weigh the branch’s traffic and device connectivity first; a high duration on its own doesn’t always indicate a problem.

When you spot a problem

When a branch turns amber or red, look at which sub-signal has weakened and jump to the matching screen from there:

  • If Devices Online is low — check the branch’s printer/terminal connections on the Devices screen, and the local network bridges on the Local Bridges screen.
  • If Last Order is very old — confirm whether sales have actually stopped from the POS and kitchen screens.
  • If Last Receipt is very old — review the receipt/fiscal integration flow and the printer.

This dashboard is read-only: it summarizes the state but doesn’t let you act on it. You make changes from the relevant branch and device screens.
